Here, all along, I had seen Lisbon and Jane's bond as more of that of a brother and sister - not lovers. His tenaciousness in pursuing this woman he has come to build his life around was so powerful for me. I was in so much pain I let it all go and just wanted to be rid of it the last 15 years(30 years in total, half of it good, half of it pure hell) of abuse. The finale of this season was impactful, as regards the dogged way in which Jane runs after Lisbon in the final act, gaining access to the plane she is about to leave on so that he can profess his love for her. in the morning and the house was asleep.īut still, he and I have that in common, so the show hits all kinds of buttons for me. The realization of this fact hit me like a wrecking ball last night and I just openly wept. Like Patrick Jane, I too have lost my wife and daughter. ![]() It was the first time I realized why I'm attracted to this show. I broke down last night after seeing the finale of Season 6 of The Mentalist. ![]()
